Tooth Wear

Tooth wear can happen for several reasons, clenching or grinding of teeth, erosion from acidic substances or wear from incorrect brushing. Erosion from acid can either be from acidic foods or drinks or from stomach acid in people with reflux.

Wear can happen to various different degrees. With the most minor, it can sometimes be repaired by bonding tooth coloured fillings to the affected teeth. With more extensive wear, porcelain onlays, crowns or veneers may be needed.

Our dentists would examine you and advise you on the best way forward.
